BVB: Shinji Kagawa crash continues - ex

Many well-known faces from German football are now largely unnoticed from German media abroad. Today in the BVB alarm light: two former BVB actors in the Belgian province and a keeper, who just did not find his luck at FC Schalke 04.

He was once considered as the largest transfer coup of Borussia Dortmund, celebrating two victories in the DFB Cup with BVB, winning the German championship twice and was in the Bundesliga team of the 2011/12 season. Shinji Kagawa left in the Bundesliga deep footprints - then gradually followed the BVBy crash.

At Manchester United, the offensive player wanted to take the next step from 2012, but stepped largely into the emptiness. In 2014, the return to BVB and the second success in the Cup (2017) followed before Kagawa finally adopted from the very large football stage. A flying visit to Besiktas, a year at Real Saragoza, a year at Paok Saloniki were growing sobering - then Kagawa decided to take a change into the footballery nobody.

Completely surprisingly, the Japanese spent 32 years at the Belgian Underdog VV St. Truiden. An association that has already served Japanese kickers as a springboard.

Affair with a porn star?

"I have the decision to come to the STVV with great determination. I would like to contribute with my football and my experience that the team reaches their goals. I am looking forward to playing the fans and followers," Kagawa explained When signing on January 10, 2022.

However, until he was allowed to play the first time before saying "fans and trailers", passed another month. Instead of giving the Leitwolf from the beginning, Kagawa has apparently to hire very far behind: in his debut he was just seven minutes on the grass, it was followed by 16 minutes and last 32 minutes at the 0-0 against KV Oostende.

Too little for the 97-painted national player who recently caused headlines at least again. Lastly, the English "Daily Star" revealed that Kagawa should have thought in Manchester Pornstar Ameri Ichinose during his time. Whether that was the reason for the loss of performance remains open.

When BVB always in the waiting stand

While Kagawa is still looking for the gloss of age days in St. Truidense, it is much better for a significantly less known ex-BVB player in rows of Belgians.

Mory Konaté moved in 2018 from the TuS Erndtebrück to the Ruhrpott, where he completed 23 lots for BVB II in the Regionalliga West, but in vain for a commitment to the pros was waited.

In 2019, the 1.90 meter-wide defensive midfielder then moved on to the VV St. Truiden. In the luggage, however, the Guiner had a painful shoulder joint blasting, as a result of which he could complete only two missions in his first season.

Konaté, however, did not open, fighed back to the team and is now one of the club's power carrier, which is ranked ten of the table still hoping for the playoffs for participating in European business.

Participation in the Europa League 2022/23 also did the Dutch club Vitesse. That you can mix in the business of the big, the team from Arnheim underpinned already in the current season. After all, you are in the second round of the Conference League, where the Italian top club AS ROM is waiting.

Ex-keeper of FC Schalke 04 degraded

One who has quite a matter of success is currently damaged to watch: Markus Schubert.

The keeper, who was once the succession of Alexander Nübel, once constructed at FC Schalke 04, the expectations could only be measured at times since summer 2021 at Vitesse under contract.

Schubert - started as a number one in the season - but now lost his regular site at the 26-year-old Jeroen Houwen.

A situation that Schubert already knows from his time at Schalke 04. In Gelsenkirchen, Schubert got twice the chance to sustainably recommend, but he did not succeed.
